Intro into the Power of Story (ended)
#: IPS   ID: IPS-ASH   Section:
Description:
This 3 session ONLINE class uses Norse and Celtic storytelling to dive into 3 basic principles: The Power of the stories we tell ourselves, and allow others to tell us about ourselves. "Feeding the story" as a life skill for interpersonal communication skills and deepening authentic connections. What we can learn about suffering from these old stories. Each 3 session course will use a different story told in 3 parts followed by a discussion on the 3 basic principles. We will learn how the stories we tell ourselves, and allow others to tell us about ourselves can carry a powerful influence over our lives, and how through being intentional, we can re-craft our own personal stories. In feeding the story we will learn a powerful technique that has brought healing to many people, but also how this technique can be applied to our daily interactions with others, and in so doing greatly deepen our understanding of others and allow us to build more authentic understanding relationships. Through these stories we will also gain valuable insight into what they are trying to teach us about the nature and purpose of suffering in our lives. We will also learn a new perspective on suffering, that when applied to daily life has also brought great healing and transformation to many people.
