The class introduces various American Indian Cultures that existed in 1492: Cultures such as the Toltecs, Mayas, Zapotes, Chorotega and Nicoya, in Central and Mesoamerica; the Incas, Chibchas, Nazcas, Moche, Tiahuanaco and Caral Cultures in South America; and in North America; the Mound Builders, Ancient Puebloans, and Hohokan Cultures

The class includes their technological achievements, architecture, geographical sites with drone aerial videos, google earth pin marks, and the various contributions these Indigenous Societies made to the world of today.

Class Lab:

1.      In this class students will learn two completely different mathematical system, the quipus developed by the ancestors of the Inca Culture, and the Mayan numerical system, developed by the ancestors of the Mayas.

2.      In this class students will learn about three amazing Natural Technologies, Natural Systems of Water Potabilization (Mayas,) The Waru-Waru (Incas,) and the Chinampas (Aztec) Agricultural systems
