5 day---Pre-K Preschool Classes:
5 days a week & plan to attend Kindergarten the following year.
Classes are held at the Paul Bunyan Center (by the airport) and Jack & Jill Preschool on the BSU campus
- Tuition is $450 per month (Limited Early Learning scholarships are available)
- Child must be at least 4-years-old by 5/31/2024 (unless approved by our ECFE/SR coordinator)
- Your child must be fully toilet trained
- 1st class time option: 8:00 am - 2:30 pm at the Paul Bunyan Center (10 early drop-off spots available at 7:30 am. Please pre-register on the Bemidji Community Education website under School Age Care. All other students can be dropped off between 7:45 am - 8:00 am)
- 2nd class time option: 8:15 am - 2:45 pm at Jack & Jill Preschool (early drop-off at 7:45 am, no pre-registration required)
- After school care is available for an add'l $8.00 per day (2:30 - 5:30) and you must pre-register on the Bemidji Community Education website under School Age Care.
- Pack a cold lunch each day if attending Jack & Jill. Free breakfast & lunch available at Paul Bunyan Center.
- Busing is only available if your child is registered at the Paul Bunyan Center (If you are in need of busing, contact Janelle at 218-333-3119 ext. 46303)
- Non-refundable $30 registration fee
- Families will be asked to fill out the Application of Benefits form
JW Smith Elementary Preschool
A collaboration with BI-CAP Head Start

- Must live within the JW Smith Elementary attendance boundaries
- Must be 4-years-old by 9/01/2024
- Class time is 7:55 am - 2:40 pm, Early drop off at 7:30 am
- 5 days a week

- After school care is available for an add'l $8.00 per day (2:40 - 5:30) and you must pre-register on the Bemidji Community Education website under School Age Care
- Busing, free breakfast & hot lunch available
- Since this is a publicly funded VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) classroom, tuition is waived at this site.
- Families must fill out the Application of Benefits form and a Pathway I Early Learning Scholarship application.
3 day -- Full Day PreK Preschool Classes
- Child must be at least 4 by 09/01/2024
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Jack & Jill Preschool on the BSU campus (No busing available)
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday at the Paul Bunyan Center (Busing is available)
- $250 per month
- Class time is 8:00 am - 2:30 pm
- Early drop off is 7:45 am
- After school care is available for an add'l $8.00 per day (2:30 - 5:30)
- Pre-register for after care on the Bemidji Community Education website under School Age Care
- Must pack a lunch each day if attending Jack & Jill. Free breakfast & lunch available at PBC

Once you register for a class, tuition is shown for the entire school year.
This will be billed over 9 months.
Payments start in August and end in April.
